Man allegedly points gun at salesman

A Springfield man was arrested at his home Tuesday after he allegedly pointed a gun at a door-to-door salesman, the Sangamon County Sheriff's Office said. He said he tried to talk to Lively as he walked past the home, and Lively pointed a gun at him, a sheriff's report said. Lively, 45, of the 1200 block of North Daniels Avenue was arrested after deputies reportedly found him sitting on his porch with a handgun about 6:45 p. The incident occurred as the salesman was going door-to-door selling cleaning supplies. Lively was taken to the Sangamon County Jail. No shots were fired.
