Packing a large house for a move can be an intimidating job, but with proper planning and organization, you can do it rapidly and easily. Dispose of all perishable items in your refrigerator if you are moving more than an hour away. Make sure you pack larger items like platters on the bottom and smaller plates on the top. Pack medicines inside a smaller plastic box and then put into the larger box with all of the other bathroom items. Keep cleaning supplies in an open plastic crate for short distance moves, or dispose of them or give them away if you moving long distance. For extremely valuable items, you should put them to a safety deposit box or transport them in your car if you are moving long distance.
